Visiting the Heart of Argyll?

We're so very lucky to be based here in Ardrishaig, on the shores of Loch Fyne in the Heart of Argyll.  Our shop is at Pier Square, where the Crinan Canal starts - 9 miles of canals, locks and stunning scenery that connects Loch Fyne and the Sound of Jura. We look forward to welcoming you and hope you have a fantastic holiday in this stunning area.

In addition to Argyll Kayaks' outdoor shop, Pier Square also features The Egg Shed Heritage Hub - Scottish Canals' new maritime museum interpretation centre - and the Steamer Terminal cafe serving breakfasts, lunch and coffee & cakes.

Watersports

The area around Ardrishaig is the perfect destination for anyone who loves being in the great outdoors. For watersports enthusiasts there are plenty of options depending on your experiece. Whether you like to explore by sea kayak, open canoe, sit-on-top kayak or stand up paddle board, Argyll Kayaks is surrounded by beautiful scenery and seascapes including Loch Gilp and the full length of Loch Fyne, Lochs Sween and Caolisport, the Sound of Jura and on westward.

Walking & cycling

Knapdale, Crinan and Kilmartin are fantastic areas for walking, cycling and exploring. Take your pick - cycle along the Crinan Canal tow path, explore the ancient monuments in Kilmartin Glen, follow one of the many walking routes through Knapdale's forests and take a look at the Scottish Beaver Trial.
